* Raffles are non-transferable and can not be exchanged for any other item.

I go to have a mani/pedi and read some trashy magazines.
The quick answer is a mani/pedi. But I really love to go to the wine bar and get a glass of wine and relax. Sometimes even 2 glasses.
medical massage group on 75th between 1st and 2nd gives incredible massages (especially prenatal massage – the hole is in the table so you can lay face down and get good pressure).
My mommy time is early in the A.M. I have a 5 year old son in school and a 4 year old daughter that isn’t in school yet. I get up at 5am and get an hour at the gym 2-3x a week. At 6am, I spend time praying and reading my bible. It’s my quiet time with God that I relish in because I am taking care of me when I take care of my relationship with God. At 7am, my family gets up and it’s on to business so those morning hours are my special time. It sets a peaceful course for the day, or at least one that helps me deal with the craziness that may come as the day progresses.
Pinky Nail and Alices Tea cup!!!
I am a member of the new Equinox on 74th and 2nd. They have a very nice, full service spa and are always running specials. For example, buy three 50 min. massages and you get free upgrades on all three to 80 minutes! I love that they have orange flavored water and hot tea for you, as well as robes and slippers. It’s not the most relaxing spa experience you can have (every now and then you can hear the thumping music from above) but it does the trick!
mimi nail salon on 80th and 1st or 80th and 2nd – mani and pedi are great and 10 minute massage is even better
In the bathroom, I let the hot water run with some lavende ror mint oil and breathe
just for 15-20 minutes before I am needed again.
Quickie -spa mini getaway
I go for Mani/ pedicures and also once in a while I also treat myself to a body massage and a facial at “The Village day sPa” in Bronxiville, even though times are tough but we all deserve pampering and why not get it done during the winter months…
When my son naps I eat lunch and watch The Bachelor, Grey’s, or some other fun TV. Then if I still have time, I’ll lay down or read a good novel for a little while. Also, the gym is always a great get-away for me.
I leave our daughter with my husband and grab dinner or drinks with friends.
I second the Medical Massage Group. I am expecting my second, so when I got a prenatal massage there, it was something I truly enjoyed! I also enjoy going to yoga at the gym. They have daycare for kids 6+ months, so it not only gives me some much needed time away from my two-year old, but also gives me some much needed time for yoga!
I love mario badescu. They give the best facials and with that comes a mini massage of your upper shoulder area. Its the best.
Unfortunately nowhere! Husband travels and we have no family close by so I haven’t had a relaxing moment in 2 years!!
To the gym 5 days a week. The second my husband gets home I head there for at least an hour. It makes such a difference!
I love Great Jones Spa!
Up in WaHi my favorite activity is our Mom’s Night Out at the Cafe 181 Wine bar. And I’m addicted to facials at Save Spa.
I let someone else clean up my kiddo’s mess.
Stroller detailing by Meurice Garment Care is particularly divine (check ‘em out http://www.garmentcare.com/garmentservices/childrens.html), though I’ll settle for the sitter cleaning up the dinner dishes.
My favorite mini-vacation is acupuncture at Dr. Zheng on 57th and Broadway. It’s very calming and relaxing, almost like a nap, and I get rewarded with better sleep to boot – something we all need!
Salon Salon Salon! Bring on the peroxide, trashy magazine, people watching and gossip!
Graceful Services on the UES gives really good massages at very reasonable prices.
Mani/Pedi for sure – and as someone said already – that 10 min massage can do wonders!
Exercise! On the weekends, I go to the gym where I put on my IPOD and focus on working out my stress. When I wake up before my baby during the week, I do yoga at home which gets the day off to a great start. After work I have a 1/2 hour walk home which clears my head for the evening baby routine so I can focus only on my daughter.
To pamper myself my husband watches my little girl and I take a nice long hot bath, with bubble bath and candles!! Of course when I hear the baby cry I want to jump out but I refrain…
Work – no in all seriousness dinner with good friends.
There is nothing as relaxing and rejuvenating as acupuncture. I get it done at a place near union square and it always leaves me more relaxed and refreshed.
Le Pan Quotidien for yummy organic treats. Sit by the fire and write in my journal.
My mommy time and ‘escape’ is a good run all by myself… no stroller in front of me
I love jogging with the stroller too, but its so nice to run without it from time to time. i also love getting a mani/pedi from time to time with a girlfriend and just talking about what is going on in our lives.
I go for a mani/pedi , its quick but relaxing. I also enjoy reading a good novel.
For the first 2 years, fitting a shower in was my main relaxation. But I recently discovered a great yoga center in the neighborhood, Namaste Yoga, and I try to go there 2 to 3 times a week while a sitter watches my 2 years old. Otherwise, I find taking time out to play with my son or on occasion to watch one or two of his favorite TV shows while snuggled on the couch to be extremely relaxing and enjoyable.
I take a hot bubble bath with candles and read Us Weekly! My favorite thing to do is get a massage but can’t do that too often. I like to sit in the relaxation room for a while and just zone out.
As long as everyone is putting down mani/pedi…the BEST place, cleanest and most relaxing is Polished Beauty Bar on 78th b/w Broadway and West End. After I go there, nothing like a little retail therapy…Loehmann’s and Filene’s always helps and none of the guilt! Also I have a massage place on 78th and Amsterdam that is incredible, $40 for an hour and I feel like new, every week! Happy spoiling!
Every so often a mani/pedi. But shopping with my mom is always fun. I leave my son with my husband and she pampers me with shopping and a godiva chocolate or two!
A movie with friends, or alone, while my daughter is taking a nap and my husband is watching football
I go to the gym and work out for 30 minutes and then head home for a relaxing (unhurried) shower.
me-time is in the car when i am running errands alone! but if i can manage it, i like to go to the gym and take a pilates class- it is relaxing, somewhat social, releases tension and feel-good brain chemicals! i can actually take an uninterrupted shower too. plus, i can grab a yummy smoothie from the cafe on my way out!
Thanks to the invention of the DVR, I escape while my little one is asleep by catching up on ALL of the trashy reality TV shows (love them all, but my fav is the “Real” Housewives LOL). I also dance with Ellen as a release whenever I can.
D’mai Urban Day Spa in Park Slope is the best! A massage there followed by some drinks with a bestie soothes my soul.
I leave my husband at home and meet up with the girls.
I love getting tea and relaxing at Java Girl on E.66th St.
I go to Lucky Lotus Yoga to treat myself. It’s 2 hours to myself. I always feel relaxed, refreshed, healthy and present afterward but, unfortunately I only make it there once a week.
Pedi and 20 minute back massage at Spabelles
I also love the mani/pedi; Pink Rose on the UES is fantastic!
Mommy time after baby’s bed time is a long shower or bath… so relaxing! When my husband is off from work, some ‘alone’ shopping is good for zoning out. But the best mommy time is the gym. Can’t beat it!
I go to get my hair washed and blown out, which includes a scalp massage. It is so relaxing, I usually fall asleep in the chair
sometimes just a long hot shower followed by a cup of tea, or if I’m splurging – some hot chocolate, is enough to rejuvenate me.
