I love to go to Gobo on the Upper east Side because it is slightly more upscale than just a diner but it has EXTREMELY healthy, organic, vegetarian food and it has a relaxing, soothing environment so we get to “date,” eat healthy and relax at the same time!

Our ideal date night is dinner at an upscale restaurant, with a nice bottle of wine. Before kids, my husband and I used to love going out to dinner together, so this brings us back to our younger selves, even for a short time. It also gives us a great opportunity to catch up on our day, more so than going to the movies or other activities would.

dinner and a movie–like the good old days before we had kids. nothing too fancy that requires dressing up….i prefer to go out in my scruffy mommy clothes from the daytime. extra points if my hubby buys me twizzlers AND raisinettes at the movie!

My mom and I have developed our relationship stronger than any other time before. For Mothers Day, she was in such joy, that she called me at 8:00am to say what an awesome mother I am and how she can see through the eyes of my daughter that I have become a women of character and integruity. So thank you mom for being so dear to me. My loving daughter also gave me the biggest hug and kiss, then she said, “Mommie Day, love you.” Who could ask for anything more! As for me, Mothers day is everyday because I never fail to be the best mom that I can be!

Real simple: time alone with hubby and doggie cuddling on couch!

My husband and I used to like to try new restaurants, but it’s hard to leave the apartment, let alone the neighborhood! A perfect date would be dinner and drinks afterward at a new restaurant somewhere outside of the UES.

Go to a college dive bar and throw down a few pints of beer and talk about how lucky we feel to have a family.

Going to an outdoor cafe and having a bottle of wine

my ideal date night starts with going for a glass of champagne/proseco/cava and having some oysters while we decide what we actually want to do for the evening- we are generally so busy with the daily things that when we head out we have not had time to finalize anything… now that the weather is good it would be fun to grab sandwiches, cheese, fruit and a blanket and head to the park for a picnic. Getting to spend time catching up on family and non-family matters is so important- it helps us reconnect, so anything that allows that is an ideal date night!

Any date night would be such a welcome treat at this point! I’d love to go out to dinner somewhere delicious like Applewood or Union Sqaure Cafe. A movie would be a nice treat as well.

We love to go out to the restaurant Daniels on the Upper East Side. It has great service and everyone is very friendly plus the three course pre-fix is fantastic. It’s nice place that we enjoy going to for what ever occasion you are celebrating especially for an evening out on the town.

we’re big fans of Atlantic Grill on the UES. Our last date night (a few weeks ago) was dinner, followed by the movie “Date Night.” Ironically, it was our first movie together in a theater since before our son was born 3 years ago. The last movie we saw together was “Knocked Up” when I was! :)

I agree, ANY date night would be a good start… my ideal would be a burger at pj clarke’s followed by an excellent broadway show topped off with a spontaneous stop for dessert (perhaps GROM) on the way home. delish!

We love go out for a nice three- or four-course dinner down in the Village and unwind with some wine. And we always try to build in ample time for a nice post-dinner walk. Strolling and holding hands before returning home is a great way to re-connect (and beneath a full moon, it can be especially romantic). A stroll and an outdoor kiss ‘good night’ before we go home always makes us feel like we’re dating again in our pre-baby days :)

We don’t go out very often because of the logistics with the baby so we try to make our nights in special. We cook a favorite meal or order in from someplace local, and watch our favorite TV shows which we’ve taped earlier in the week and saved for “date night”. It feels just as special as going out.
