Make your own trail mix -- Cheerios or other cereal, raisins, nuts (if child's over 2), other dried fruit. Frozen yogurt squeezers. Make your own ice pops with fruit juice.

my 14 month old loves organic veggie sticks. they fit well in a snack trap and they are shaped like french fries so they seem "fun" to eat.

Cucumber sticks, grated carrot, sliced capsicum and tomato. Cooked options include pumpkin, sweet potato, beans, peas, corn, carrot. Toddlers are notorious for being particularly picky with vegetables. If you give them veggies as a snack while their attention is taken by new surroundings, some may be more likely to eat them.

I think some great travel snacks for baby are:

Cut up fruits and veggies.
Semi-frozen bagels (which not only help with teething, but are perfect for gnawing).
In the summer, make ice pops with applesauce and water.
Cheerios!
