Healthy Baby Happy Home: A must-have resource for green parenting!

As both a parent of an active toddler and an enthusiastic, expectant mom – nothing is more sacred to me than the successful creation of a healthy, happy and “Green” home environment for my beloved children. So, needless to say I count myself as ‘privileged’ to have been referred by a mom in our parenting group to the Healthy Baby Happy Home website. “Baby 411″ – answers lots of questions in an easy and straightforward way. “Baby Bargains” – sort of like the “Consumers Report” for baby stuff and “The Girlfriend’s Guide to Surviving the First Year of Motherhood” by Vicki Iovine – made me laugh out loud!

My new favorite book is SIMPLICITY PARENTING also. It really addresses all of the challenges of raising kids in our culture…kis who want to buy, and use, and see, and know everything that their
friends do. It shows why–very important!–but also how–also important–to hold the line. How to carve out some space, some time, some innocence for them. And how to keep the emphasis in family life on what is important. Very inspiring, and beautifully written!
