My iphone!
It takes amazing pictures that I can immediately email to my husband at work, keeps my calendar, address book, and and saves me with it’s songs and videos when I need to change my little guy in public places etc…
The Foogo sippy cup. My son LOVES his “yo yo milk” (a combo of milk, yobaby drinkable yogurt, and a 1/2 jar of pureed veggies snuck in!) and the Foogo keeps everything cold for 6 hours. It’s great when we’re out of the house for several hours at a time.
My must have product as the mom of a toddler is my Graco portable toilet seat. My oldest daughter, Kaycie, is 3 years old and is ultra picky about bathrooms and toilets. I have witnessed her ‘hold it” because a bathroom didn’t smell good and/ or the toilet seat was dirty. I had to buy a portable toilet seat to ensure that she would use the bathroom as she should and not regress back to using pull-ups. The toilet seat folds up and comes in it’s own bag. It makes outings with her so much easier……and clean.
Disposable Placemats – such a life saver when we go out to resturants!
Pocket Sized Play Doh is also great – it is something to do when you are waiting ….
Hands down, SNACKTRAP – keeps food inside and them occupied on a walk or in a store
For on the go, I second portable toilet seats (I forget which brand we have) and snack traps and I love the 12-pack wipes from CVS. Much easier than filling a hard pack and I have a package in each bag, stroller, etc. The wipes are very thick for toddler spills, hand cleaning, etc. and I actually prefer the wipes to pampers/huggies.
At home, the baby bjorn toilet seat (that goes over the toilet) is great. I can’t imagine having to clean out a potty.
it helps you everywhere in the restaurant, on the plane
my digital camera and lots of wet wipes, tissues. camera for taking the beautiful moments or her life and wipes and tissues for cleaning up our endless mess.
Definitely has to be a good, light stroller, especially as a city mom, I can’t live without my maclaren!!
The “Boo Boo Bunny!” From the time my son took his first steps to yesterday when he crawled up the dresser, the “Boo Boo Bunny” has stopped many tears. It’s a small insulated ice cube with a plush bunny wrap (ears, tail and all) that you keep in the freezer for bump and bruise emergencies. Even when he doesn’t let me hold it on him, he finds comfort in having it near
.
Primigi shoes – the most supportive!
Snacks!
Bumpkin bibs to catch the endless falling food and never leave home without Cheerios!
I definitely cannot do without the snack cups with the circular rubber tops with triangles cut into them (i don’t know their name, but they are available at planet kids). the kids can reach in and take a cracker/snack out one at a time, but nothing else spills out. I’m a big fan.
snacktraps are the best. she can snack in her stroller and prevents spills!
Snack Trappers, Disposable Bibs and Disposable Placemats…no mess!
My must haves are loads of Target brand wipes, Dora Abc and Elmo counting books that comes with an attached magnetic drawing pad that erases by Phidal and of course their music cd by parenting.com, its their favorite.
Any velcro or strap with snaps that attach sippy cups, snack cups, toys and books to the stroller or high chair! (planet kids has them). And i loved the super cute car seat cover from babbaco.com. my baby (when he could still fit in the snugride) could sleep without the light or cold wind bothering him.
We never leave home without the Potette!
snacks, disposable placemats and the snack trapper cup.
The nomie baby car seat cover. Between the carsickness and the crushed snacks, it’s made cleaning up SO much easier.
Costco wipes lots of them and my momma couture city bag
well, i have to go with snacks, specifically Annie’s Homegrown bunnies, but if i had to pick a non food item then finger puppets have kept my toddler amused lately and they are super portable.
Flip Video Camcorder – best thing ever!!!!!
For indoor entertainment, it would be a tossup between her Leapfrog musical table and her Little Tykes cozy coupe. We’ve even pushed that thing to the playground- such a hit!
The most basic go-to–wet-wipes.
I use them all over my daughter, myself, the car seats, even to clean the car windows and [temporarily] reduce my hair frizz. It is my windex! ( ala My Big Fat Greek Wedding)
I would have to say my little tykes wagon. We take our daughter for walks in that buggy/wagon EVERY day in the nice weather and she LOVES it.
Sippy Grippy–I can attach anything to her stroller and not worry about her throwing her cups, toys, etc on the dirty floor!
an old cell phone. It can keep my little one occupied and we pretend to call everyone we know.
A stroller…otherwise my little one will be running away from me wherever we go.
Boogie Wipes (great for runny noses and general hand/face cleaning) and the Fisher Price Rainforest Booster seat. My baby is entertained by the removable toy tray for ages while we are in a restaurant. It’s a lifesaver!
I’d say around the city it would be mini books and the drawing books with crayons, they rock and totally save every meal! For travelling, the product of the century is the portable DVD player!
Our Corolle Baby doll!! His name is Alex, dressed in blue and white stripes, with eyes that close (a very critical element because he can make her sleepy). He was a reward that she chose for a very good potty training week and all kinds of good behavior at our annual beach vacation. Our daughter, Charlotte, isn’t totally obsessed or wonky when she doesn’t have him, but he makes her life so much better it seems!
For our two toddler sons (ages 13 months and 2 years old), the best must-have items are colorful board books, musical instruments (that can be carried in diaper bags or beneath strollers — so they can easily be pulled out in a pinch), and a ball or two, that can make a trip to the park or a long wait in line somewhere far more fun.
Sticker books!
Stickers, magnet books and a magnadoodle! Crayon and washable markers with coloring books!
