For our two toddler sons (ages 13 months and 2 years old), the best must-have items are colorful board books, musical instruments (that can be carried in diaper bags or beneath strollers — so they can easily be pulled out in a pinch), and a ball or two, that can make a trip to the park or a long wait in line somewhere far more fun.

Our Corolle Baby doll!! His name is Alex, dressed in blue and white stripes, with eyes that close (a very critical element because he can make her sleepy). He was a reward that she chose for a very good potty training week and all kinds of good behavior at our annual beach vacation. Our daughter, Charlotte, isn’t totally obsessed or wonky when she doesn’t have him, but he makes her life so much better it seems!

I’d say around the city it would be mini books and the drawing books with crayons, they rock and totally save every meal! For travelling, the product of the century is the portable DVD player!

Boogie Wipes (great for runny noses and general hand/face cleaning) and the Fisher Price Rainforest Booster seat. My baby is entertained by the removable toy tray for ages while we are in a restaurant. It’s a lifesaver!

Sippy Grippy–I can attach anything to her stroller and not worry about her throwing her cups, toys, etc on the dirty floor!

I would have to say my little tykes wagon. We take our daughter for walks in that buggy/wagon EVERY day in the nice weather and she LOVES it.
